  • The art of persistence .

Once a young boy about fourteen went to the hospital with his grandparents . His parents were busy so he had to take his grandparents to the hospital this time . While waiting for the endocrinologist in the reception he saw an elderly man in his 80s in a wheelchair . The elderly man was accompanied by his middle aged daughter . He looked quite weak and sick . The young boy was sitting behind the father and daughter . The old man told his daughter to pass him his phone which she was carrying . With nothing else to do and bored while his grandparents were with the doctor to young boy peeped into the old man’s smart phone .He was pretty suprised to see that instead of scrolling through social media like others on their phones while waiting in the reception, the old man was looking at stock prices. The boy was suprised to see this . An old man who can barely stand up on his phone looking at stock prices . Curious he asked the old man what he was doing . The old man told the boy that he had been in the stock market since his early 60s and was still in the game . The boy asked the man why he would still track stock prices despite being sick the old man said even though his family forbids him to work he does it not because of the money but because of his interest in certain businesses. He told the boy that he would work like this until the day he died . The boy was quite impressed with the old man’s abilities. Despite only investing for 20 years the old man seemed to be quite confident in his abilities . Finally the boy asked the old man if it was all worth it . The old man told him that he lost and gained money through investments but still kept on pursuing in the stock market because he believed that certain businesses that he invested in will bloom .

Two years after this incident . The boy who was now sixteen remembered about the old man from the hospital. He clearly remembered about the stock that the old man was searching. The boy typed the name of the stock in the internet and found out that after failing for years the stock finally plummmeted from 2 digits to 5 digits . The boy wondered what would the old man’s reaction would have been .

If I were to write an autobiography of someone I would first want all the readers to realize that each of our lives are not the same and we all are living under different circumstances.
